Civil Society Development

A strong civil society is essential to development. OPTIMUM was engaged in various missions of capacity building to contribute to an inclusive, efficient and effective civil society that results in improving the lives of the population, and contribute to  development.

We are very experienced with donors' requirements and procedures.  We work with non-governmental organizations at all levels through capacity building and conducting of evaluation and planning, representing different sectors including business, environment and human rights organisations.  We provide comprehensive training and services that develop civil society, enabling organisations to meet obligations to both their funders and beneficiaries. 

We assist in the capacity building of NGOs and CBOs, managing projects using the Results Based Framework, including project identification, baseline assessment, project design, monitoring and reporting of projects and outcomes, as well as developing materials.  

OPTIMUM is currently engaged through the  EU-European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) in  providing tailor-made training and coaching for NGOs and CBOs, based on their assessed needs in areas of Planning, Targeting, M&E, Reporting and Financial Reporting, enabling them to meet EU contractual obligations for their grants. We have developed many planning tools for projects and programmes, as well as Rights Based strategies and approaches, and also engaged in monitoring and evaluating many CSOs, CSOs' projects and programmes.
